“The Future World Leaders and Mothering Access Programme - An Ontological Model”

January 5 – 9, 2010

This programme is based on our, and our partners (and our co-instructors’) work over the last seven years. The course is designed to leave all participants being leaders and exercising leadership effectively whilst able to display and maintain the maternal activities that arise from being a mother to others of protecting, preserving, nourishing and nurturing as their natural self expression.

The course is not designed to merely leave the participants with knowledge (that is not designed to leave students “knowing” about leaders and leadership, mothers and mothering and able to discuss the issues surrounding these). Rather the course is designed to give students actual access to being a leader and the effective exercise of leadership along with the maternal activities of protecting, preserving, nurturing and nourishing others. Our promise as instructors to the students is that if they honour their word to fulfil the requests we make of them they will leave the course being leaders and exercising leadership effectively with a maternal desire and ability to nurture, nourish, preserve and protect others.

The research project that led to the creation of this course originated from our interest in laying the foundations for a science of leadership. We agree with Warren Bennis (2002, p. 2) and Joseph Rost (1993, p. 8) who conclude respectively: "It is almost a cliché of the leadership literature that a single definition of leadership is lacking." and "The scholars do not know what it is they are studying, and the practitioners do not know what it is they are practicing."

Attacking the question of what leadership is required us to get into what it is to be a leader and what it is to exercise leadership effectively. Getting to the core of being a leader led naturally to attacking the task of creating leaders and the course was created.

We resolve these puzzles by uniquely distinguishing leader and leadership and mother and mothering as the intersection of four precise aspects which are respectively:

 Linguistic Abstractions (“realms of possibility”),
 Phenomena (that is, as exercised, or what one observes or is impacted by),
 Concepts (the temporal domains of functionality),
 Terms (as definitions)

The access provided to (and therefore what is revealed about) leader and leadership, mother and mothering when dealt with as a realm of possibility is different than the access provided to (and therefore what is revealed about) them when they are dealt with as a phenomenon, or as a concept, or as a term.

We argue that when the four perspectives are taken together, as a whole they provide access to mastering what mother and leader and leadership and mothering actually are. This enables us to get our arms around the being of a leader and the effective exercise of leadership and maternal activities. Having mastered this overall context, we can then get our hands on the levers and dials of being a leader, a mother and the effective exercise of leadership and maternal activities.

Applicable Law

This Terms of Use is governed by the laws of the State of California, U.S.A. without regard to conflicts of laws principles. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts sitting in California, County of Los Angeles and/or Central District of California in all disputes arising out of or relating to accessing or using of the World Enlightainment Network. This project will build the World Enlightainment multi-lingual web site that will serve as a learning/mentoring, event registration/participation and management members based community. Utilizing Web‐based social networking tools such as blogs, forums, a centralized repository for learning materials (video, audio, slideshows, documents) program administrators, facilitators, and participants will be able to attract, accept, and direct contributor time and resources and a easy to use platform for real-time online mentoring and also be able to disseminate information and collaborate with each other in a centralized virtual space both in and out of regular sessions. By generalizing these tools as much as possible and making them freely available to the public through the creation of tools and installation profiles, a wide variety of organizations and communities will be able to download them and customize them to match the individual needs of their particular program(s).

In regard to the site theme look this would be a custom design but similar to this page which uses a customised version of the Drupal "Zen" theme. The project should utilize as much Ajax Technology as possible and CSS style formatting. It is intended that the secondary colour automatically rotate on a 24 hour 7 day schedule.

Project Management is proposed to be undertaken at this time by Spreadlab GbR Hannover under the direction of Sebastian Majewski.

All site pages will be formed with strict W3C XHTML™ 1.0 (Extensible HyperText Markup Language) compliance and compatible with all "A-Grade" Yahoo defined browsers i.e. IE7, Firefox, Opera and Safari.

The project will require maintenance, administration and backups to not interfere with the "all ways up" fast access website presence. The site will provide detailed analytics and history of users with full drill down features such as Google Analytics.

OBJECTIVE & OVERVIEW

Imagine a world (which you co-create) in which you and all others relate to each other with the same unselfish love and compassion that a mother has for her child. A world in which people as part of their natural self expression undertake the maternal activities of protecting, preserving, nurturing and nourishing of others while supporting both their individuality and creativity and that of others. A world deeply intent on the welfare of others.

Such a world is possible and we declare the above will represent a "GLOBAL TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY" which we are commited to co-creating with You.




Our objective is the co-creation of a Movie and Teaching as a medium of communication and analysis structure, that results in the audience and or students having direct access to BEING MOTHER and the effective excercise of MOTHERHOOD no matter what the circumstances, this includes BEING MOTHER to both others and themselves (personal motherhood).

At this point for clarity we should state, this movie, game and teaching is NOT about pretending to be a "MOTHER" nor is it about gender or having men give birth to children. It is also not about teaching existing mothers how to mother or proposing concepts of good and bad motherhood.

ABOUT THE MOVIE

This movie like no other is NOT designed to merely leave the audience with simple knowledge or a pleasurable experience able to discuss the movie and issues raised. Rather the movie provides the audience actual access to BEING MOTHER and the excercise of good MOTHERHOOD. Based upon AUTHENTIC COMPASSION as a necessary requirement for happiness, survival and success the audience leave their experience of the movie regardless of age or gender BEING MOTHERS and exercising good MOTHERHOOD effectively in relation to both themselves and others regardless of age, sex, creed or colour.

Through this movie the audience becomes aware of their "CONTEXT OF INTERPRETATION" and "BELIEFS", and to be critically reflective of those underlying assumptions, uncovering often hidden frames of reference thus enabling them to reconstruct these causing a measurable and real transformation of the audience.

The audiences direct access to BEING MOTHER and experience of MOTHEROOD (self and others) transforms the way they relate to themselves i.e. currently with a 'self-cherishing' attitude and their relating to others with an attitude of 'neglect', based upon inaccurate and incomplete information. To that of relating to themselves and others in the BEING OF MOTHER and the experience of MOTHERHOOD.

The "Being" of BEING MOTHER gives rise to the ways of being, thinking, planning and the specific "maternal activities" of PRESERVING and PROTECTING, NOURISHING and NURTURING of self and others.

The movie is founded on what we term "ENLIGHTAINMENT" that uses multiple technologies and an "ontological access model" of human nature. This ontological approach is uniquely effective in providing actionable access to BEING MOTHER and MOTHERHOOD, but until now has not been used in this manner.

Uniquely the movie also leaves the audience equiped with the material, ideas and technology to teach the "BEING OF MOTHER" and "MOTHERHOOD" to others.

We intend to enable a population exposure to this medium of 6,000,000 within the first year of release and approximately 63,000,000 within the second year via multiple technologies managed around our adapted TelePresence Event Control Technology (TECT) that enables a necessary high level of real-time audience participation and interaction not previously experienced. The experience is of actually being in the movie with all the other participants.

The movie has been given the 'working title' of "TRANSFIGURATION"

WHAT IS MEANT BY "ONTOLOGY"?

The movie is founded on what we term an "ONTOLOGICAL ACCESS MODEL" of human nature. By ontological we mean the following: If you have ever wondered what it would be like to be a bird, or wondered what it is like to be your dog, or to be a person of the opposite gender, or what it is like to be some particular friend of yours, you were in an ontological inquiry. You would also be in an ontological inquiry if you asked: What is it like to be a human being, or what is it like to be a mother?

Ontology as a general subject is concerned with the being of anything. However, here we are concerned with the ontology of human beings, and specifically with the ontology of mother and motherhood. That is, we are concerned with the nature and function of being for human beings, and specifically with the nature and function of being a mother and the effective exercise of motherhood in relation to yourself and others which directly creates affection for others as "LOVE" and subsequently "AUTHENTIC COMPASSION" for all beings creating a world where in everyone is intent on the welfare of others.

WHAT IS MEANT BY "BEING"?

Webster’s dictionary (1998) defines being as: “fundamental or essential nature”. For example, to indicate an aspect of a given person’s fundamental or essential nature, we speak about them as being a man or woman of character. To indicate another person’s fundamental or essential nature, we speak about them being anti-social.

For a narrower and therefore easier example, we can talk about being angry. We could examine being angry from the comfort of our somewhat familiar perspectives of the science of psychology, or even neuroscience. While less familiar for us and therefore perhaps at first uncomfortable, it is also possible to examine being angry from an ontological perspective, where we are examining the being aspect of being angry (the fundamental or essential nature of being angry and its functioning). From this perspective we clearly see that when we are being angry, we are likely to act in anger. The same is true for both being a man or woman of character, and for being anti-social. From the ontological perspective, it is clear that being a man or woman of character, or being anti-social, or being angry shapes that person’s perceptions, imagination, emotions, thinking, planning, and consequently their actions.

The ontological perspective is particularly powerful when dealing with the being of being MOTHER, and the effective exercise of MOTHERHOOD. Who one is being when being a MOTHER shapes one’s perceptions, and one’s imagination and creativity in thinking and planning, and consequently one’s actions in the exercise of MOTHERHOOD. Like acting in anger when we are being angry, or acting with ease if we are being at ease, or acting with confidence when we are being confident, if we master the being of being a MOTHER, we are likely to act as a MOTHERS and exercise MOTHERHOOD effectively. And, this movie, game and teaching is about being a MOTHER, and acting in the exercise of MOTHERHOOD as a natural consequence of being a MOTHER.

Even if you are in a mothering position, if you are not being a MOTHER, in trying to act like a mother you will fail. That’s called being inauthentic, and inauthenticity (pretending to be a mother) doomed to failure in the attempt to exercise MOTHERHOOD.

WHAT IS MEANT BY "WORLDVIEW"?

The Encarta Dictionary (2004) defines worldview as: “a comprehensive interpretation or image of the universe and humanity.” Worldview (or model of reality) refers to the network of ideas, beliefs, social and cultural embedded-ness, and taken-for-granted assumptions through which an individual interprets and interacts with the world, other people, and himself or herself. In fact, everything in one’s world is seen through the lens of one’s worldview. This lens constitutes an important aspect of one’s being, that is, one’s way of being with the world, other people, and oneself. For an obvious example of the constraining and shaping by one’s worldview on one’s view of the world, others, and one’s self, consider the following: While most of us take self-determination as the rightful natural order of things, not so many years ago the prevailing worldview was one of our being naturally other-determined. Given the prevailing worldview in that era, it seemed natural that the ruler (the emperor, king, chief, or warlord) would determine for us.

Another example is that at one time, for most human beings what it meant to be a human being justified seeing some humans as less human than others, which for many justified slavery as something natural in the realm of being human.

A present day (and therefore more difficult to perceive) example of a constraining worldview is most people’s “cause/effect” worldview. Most of us believe that whatever we observe has been caused by something. This aspect of our worldview makes unintelligible for many of us the non-cause/effect phenomena observed in quantum mechanics.

An example of this is the instantaneous invariant correlation of the states of a certain two photons that collided and are later at a distance from one another. If measured when at that distance from one another, the state of one of these photons turns up as “1”, the state of the other will always be “0”. However, if the state of the one turns up “0”, the state of the other will always turn up “1”. And, it has been proven that this correlation is not a product of the collision – that is, this correlation is not predicted by the initial state.

Given our non-physicist’s worldview (model of reality), we would like to say that when measured the state of the one causes the effect of the state of the other. However,this cannot be true because when measured the two photons are at a distance from one another and the correlation is instantaneous. Because this correlation is instantaneous at a distance, it cannot be one of cause and effect. This would violate the limit of the speed of light as the absolute maximum rate of transfer of information from one location to another, and therefore the correlation is in this sense instantaneous. To indicate the noncause/effect correlation, quantum physicists name this correlation “entanglement”.

Staying in the realm of quantum mechanics for a further example of how one’s worldview (model of reality) acts as a lens through which everything in one’s world is viewed: Even the great Einstein was constrained by his worldview (model of reality), See Salant, et al (2008), “Testing the speed of ‘spooky action at a distance’”. “God does not play dice with the universe”. He criticized the reality of entanglement as "spukhafte Fernwirkung" or "spooky action at a distance." Einstein believed that entanglement would prove to be merely some error in the theory. He once wrote: "I find the idea quite intolerable that an electron exposed to radiation should choose of its own free will, not only its moment to jump off, but also its direction. In that case, I would rather be a cobbler, or even an employee in a gaming house, than a physicist.” We are lucky that Einstein did not need to give up physics for cobbling. He was saved by the fact that it was only after he died that experiments confirmed the noncause/effect phenomenon of entanglement – demonstrating that even for the greatest of us, one’s worldview (model of reality) constrains and shapes the way we view the world.

That non-cause/effect phenomena (entanglement in this case) are counter-intuitive for us (mind-boggling) points to the constraint our worldview of cause/effect imposes on us non-physicists. Unfortunately, being able to “see” our own worldview is extremely difficult. One’s worldview is like air to the bird or water to the fish; it is generally invisible to us.

The difficulties and reluctance that human beings confront in shifting their worldview is illustrated by Stapp’s observation that “More than three quarters of a century have passed since the overturning of the classical laws, yet the notion of mechanical determinism still dominates the general intellectual milieu.” Preface to Stapp, Henry P. 2007. Mindful Universe: Quantum Mechanics and the Participating Observer: Springer-Verlag. About the world, other people, and ourselves – is an important aspect of our being, which constrains and shapes our way of being with the world, other people, and ourselves.

Mother is about creativity and the very act of creation. It is also about nurturing, guiding, and supporting. Often mother demonstrates tenancity, protectiveness, preservation and resourcefulness. One of the great lessons of the mother archetype is the process of life and mothering. It is important to create, nurture, empower and release.

This movie is 'UNIQUE' and as such has a unique and innovative mode of presentation which only now with the development of new communication technologies is possible.

Whilst appearing initially complex and long winded in actual presentation is simple, enjoyable and relatively short.

Each of the pre-movie viewing assignments videos are available in English, Chinese, Russian, Hindi and Spanish as well as a version for those with Impaired hearing. You only need to view your preferred language versions.

In order to be able to participate and co-create TRANSFIGURATION the movie, it is IMPERATIVE that YOU have CAREFULLY viewed EACH of the FOUR pre-movie youtube videos beforehand.

That's a little unusual, but quite simply you cannot participate or co-create TRANSFIGURATION the movie without having carefully viewed ALL the pre-movie videos and, you will not be able to make up those viewings later once our movie starts. The pre-movie viewing assignments are not merely introductory or background, on the contray this movie and your participation in it is designed to begin the moment you view the pre-movie videos assignments. Both the individual and collective results realised during the movie, when taken together, is what delivers TRANSFIGURATION the movie to you. These results begin prior to the opening titles with the results you produce for yourself out of viewing the pre-movie videos.

In order to deliver this unique movie from your participation and co-creation of the movie, you must have completed the part of the movie that is constituted in the pre-movie viewing assignments. It simply WON'T work for YOU if at the start of the movie you have missed the beginning of the movie that is contained in the pre-movie viewing assignments. This video is the FIRST pre-movie introduction assignment video to an innovative and experimental movie which provides access to being mother and motherhood in relation to others developed by us. The title of the movie is: “TRANSFIGURATION" the objective of the movie is to leave the audience actually 'BEING MOTHERS and exercising good MOTHERHOOD' effectively in relation to both themselves and others, and for the movie to contribute and be the cause in co-creating a NEWOPTIMALWORLD or GLOBAL HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS TRANSFIGURATION.

This video as the first pre-movie viewing assignment both introduces our movie and the ontological access model as well as dealing with what needs to be removed in order to access the being of being mother and the excercise of good motherhood in relation to yourself and others.

Secondly we introduce the concept of the "crucible experience".

In interviewing more than 40 top leaders in business and the public sector over the past three years, we were surprised to find that all of them – young and old – were able to point to intense, often traumatic, always unplanned experiences that had transformed them and had become the sources of their distinctiveleadership abilities. We came to call the experiences that shape leaders “crucibles,” after the vessels medieval alchemists used in their attempts to turn base metals into gold. For the leaders we interviewed, the crucible experience was a trial and a test, a point of deep self-reflection that forced them to question who they were and what mattered to them. It required them to examine their values, question their assumptions, hone their judgment. And, invariably, they emerged from the crucible stronger and more sure of themselves and their purpose – changed in some fundamental way. (p. 3)

Some crucibles are violent and life-threatening (encounters with prejudice,illness) … (p. 1)

Fortunately, not all crucible experiences are traumatic. In fact, they can involve a positive, if deeply challenging, experience such as having a demanding boss or mentor. Judge Nathaniel R. Jones of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, for instance, attributes much of his success to his interaction with a
splendid mentor. That mentor was J. Maynard Dickerson, a successful attorney – the first black city prosecutor in the United States – and editor of a local African-American newspaper. (p. 7)

Leadership crucibles can take many forms. Some are … episodes of selfdoubt.(p. 3)

A crucible is, by definition, a transformative experience through which an individual comes to a new or an altered sense of identity. (p. 3)

All of our interview subjects described their crucibles as opportunities for reinvention – for taking stock of their lives and finding meaning in circumstances many people would see as daunting and potentially incapacitating. In the extreme, this capacity for reinvention comes to resemble eternal youth – a kind of vigor, openness, and an enduring capacity for wonder that is the antithesis of stereotyped old age. (p. 6)

As we see from the collection of excerpts from the article “Crucibles of Leadership” by Bennis and Thomas, “crucible experiences” when dealt with authentically result in the “transformative experience” that is the genesis of being a leader and also equally relevant to "BEING A MOTHER".

In our movie, game and teaching, you will be provided with structured opportunities for self-reflection that are designed to result in these transformative experiences. If you deal with these opportunities authentically, you will produce for yourself the experiences that are the genesis of being a MOTHER.

4. Authentic Compassion - Integrity (conceptual)

The FOURTH pre-movie viewing assignment looks at the relation between integrity and the three virtuous phenomena of morality, compassion and legality, this new model: 1) encompasses all terms in one consistent theory, 2) makes clear and unambiguous the “moral compasses” potentially available in each of the three virtuous phenomena, and 3) by revealing the relation between honoring the standards of the phenomena and performance (including being complete as a person and the quality of life), raises the likelihood that the now clear moral compasses can actually shape human behavior.

Honoring Your Word

In fact, to empower and enable yourself as a MOTHER, you will have to be rigorous in honoring your word, both with those you mother and those who mother you, so this is an opportunity for you to practice being a person of integrity. And, integrity is the foundation on which motherhood is built.

DISTINCTION MOTHER

The word "mother" occurs in all languages and is distinct, however when asked people have differing and indistinct views of what a mother or their mother is. One workable distinction for mother for use in this context is "a being having experienced the process of paturiation" i.e the action of delivering a child from the womb to the outside world. This distinction, distinguishes mother relative to all others and by extension your mother is the being with experience of your paturiation.

Distinction Motherhood:

Motherhood is distinguished simply as "the specific maternal activities of preserving and protecting, nurturing and nourishing that arise from being mother".

Distinction Authentic Compassion:

By "Authentic Compassion" we mean .The Authentic commitment to relieve the suffering of all beings including your own.
